Little Bears Construction theme
Do you have any Builders tools at home? We
would love to have some fun with them! The children in little bears are having
so much fun with their construction theme allowing them to be builders and take
part in lots of fun activities around construction. If you can bring in any Builders
tools you might have around the house that would be great, we promise to keep
them safe and return them after use!
Weather appropriate clothing
As the weather gets cooler, we would just like to remind parents to bring in coats, hats, gloves, scarves and wellies for children as we are looking forward to having some outdoor play.
Learning at home
Pre-school children have book bags which allow them to borrow books from nursery and tell us all about the stories they have enjoyed reading with an adult in their reading diary. Little Bears and Babies have a ‘bear in the bag’ where children can take home a special pack which includes a teddy, a diary, recipe cards and games to play at home. Please ask a member of staff if you would like more information on learning together at home.
We are asking all parents of children who are currently toilet training to bring in plenty of spare pants and bottoms in case of any accidents. For guidance on toilet training and the expectation for each age, please read: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/potty-training-tips/
Is your child registered with a Dentist? It is important to have regular check-ups to prevent tooth decay and to check on your child’s oral health.
If you are concerned a child is at risk of significant harm you can report your concerns to a member of staff. For more information on the procedures we follow please see the flowcharts attached which are displayed in each room of the nursery.
