Nursery Newsletter

Term dates

We will be welcoming our term time only children back to nursery for the Autumn term on Monday 2nd September 2019.

Macmillan Coffee morning

We will be holding our Macmillan coffee morning on Friday 27th September 2019. We will be selling lots of goodies to raise money for this worthy cause. If you fancy doing some baking at home with your little ones you can bring in your goodies for us to sell. We will also have the children’s learning journey books available to read while you enjoy a well-earned coffee and cake!

Maternity leave

Sarah Finn, one of our Nursery Managers, has returned from her maternity leave. She will be working four days a week- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Treasure baskets

We are currently collecting items to make up treasure baskets for our babies. Treasure baskets give babies the opportunity to explore, experiment and be imaginative with everyday objects. If you have any treasures lying around the house- we would love to add them to our baskets! Treasures could include; brushes, spoons, sponges, ribbon, rolling pins, whisks, pinecones, bells, CDs etc.

Chicken pox

We have had several cases of chicken pox at the nursery over the last month. Please look out for any early symptoms such as a high fever. Our exclusion period is at least 5 days. Children can come back to nursery when all the spots have scabbed over. Thank you for your co-operation.

Weaning

What new foods is your baby trying at home? Please let us know so we can help you with weaning. Once you have tried foods a few times at home-  we can add new foods to their diet at nursery.
